DAVID “TENZO” LYDICK

DAVID “TENZO” LYDICK is a native New Yorker. He was born and raised on Long Island, and now resides in the Catskills Region. Tenzo learned to fish on the south shore of Long Island and the creeks and rivers of the Catskills. He developed a passion for fly fishing and wild native fish on the fabled Esopus Creek and has been an avid angler and steward of the resource ever since. A Licensed New York State Guide, Tenzo owns and operates TribSource Guides, a holistic guide and ecotour service which focuses on sustainability and low-impact recreation through fly fishing and wilderness ecotherapy. Tenzo received his Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Culture from SUNY Empire State University. His first book, The Conscious Angler’s Guidebook, is due to be released in 2023. Tenzo works in his community promoting the awareness and stewardship of sensitive riparian environments and critically important headwaters streams that are home to Salvelinus fontinalis.
