PAUL DEROLF

PAUL DEROLF is an Indiana native, currently living and working in Ohio. He is an avid outdoorsperson and angler. Paul gained his passion for wild native fish diversity as a young child. His advocacy is focused on overall aquatic ecosystem health with an emphasis on native, nongame fishes. Paul has a master’s degree in aquatic ecology from Ball State University where he studied fish assemblages in rivers and streams of Indiana. He currently works for the Midwest Biodiversity Institute, where he conducts biological surveys for water quality measurements in Ohio and Illinois. In his position, Paul also assists with collections and reintroductions of Ohio state threatened fishes. Paul is a Level 3 Qualified Data Collector for Stream Habitat Assessment - QHEI and Fish Community Biology in Ohio and the Midwest. He is also an active member of North American Native Fishes Association (NANFA,) the Society for Freshwater Science, and the American Fisheries Society. Paul is an amateur photographer and blogger who looks to educate the masses in regard to our overlooked, and often underappreciated nongame species. He can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
